Anyone can claim to have green chile, but as New Mexicans we know that there’s a difference between just any chile and Hatch chile. Although there’s no better way to get it than in our great state, you might be surprised to find that it can also be sampled in dishes and restaurants across the U.S. Take a look below to discover where else Hatch chile can be found!

As far east as you can get, Pasadena is home to a New Mexican-flavored restaurant—Lista’s Grill. Importing their chiles directly from New Mexico, this is one you don’t want to miss out on if you’re missing that authentic Southwest feel.

Austin

During the harvest season, Austin comes alive with all things Hatch. Catch your favorite Hatch green chile dishes from hometown favorite Z’Tejas with Hatch green chile ice cream or go with more refined option at Emmer & Rye with a Hatch chile brine. Any way you choose, you’re sure to get your Hatch chile kick while in Austin weird.

Dallas/Fort Worth

You won’t be disappointed while visiting this mecca in the Lone Star state, with six different restaurants featuring Hatch chile in their dishes: Snuffers, Chuy’s, El Fenix, Jasper’s, and Cast Iron. If you’re lucky, you can also catch the Hatch Fest at Central Market during August where you can sample everything Hatch chile butter to smoked sausage.
