The Best Movies Coming Out in February
February will be a great month for movie dates! With so many amazing movies coming out at the same time, it’s going to be difficult to choose. To make it easier, here’s a short list of the best movies coming out this month.

1. Velvet Buzzsaw
Velvet Buzzsaw might be Netflix’s next Bird Box. This new horror film is about a series of haunted paintings from a mysterious artist. The artist seeks to kill those who allow greed to triumph over art. The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Toni Collet, John Malkovich, Rene Russo, and Zawe Ashton. Velvet Buzzsaw is scheduled to release on Netflix on February 1st.

2. Miss Bala on February 1st
Miss Bala is about an aspiring pageant queen who gets dragged into the vicious world of crime in Mexico. She is forced to smuggle laundered money for a dangerous drug cartel. Miss Bala is the English remake of the 2011 Mexican film by the same name, directed by Gerardo Naranjo. The movie takes inspiration from a real incident involving Laura Zuniga, Miss Sinaloa of 2008. Gina Rodriguez (from Jane the Virgin) stars in this action thriller.

3. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
A direct sequel to The Lego Movie and the fourth film in the franchise, The Lego Movie 2 is set to release on February 8th. The story is based five years after the incidents of the first movie. Bricksburg is a post-apocalyptic wasteland and Emmet’s friends are captured by a spaceship. The story focuses on Emmet’s journey to rescue his friends. The new additions include Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, and Maya Rudolph.

4. Fighting With My Family on Feb 14th
Fighting With My Family is based on the 2012 documentary, The Wrestlers: Fighting with my Family. this biographical sports comedy-drama tells the story of professional WWE wrestler, Paige. Born into a wrestling family, Paige and her brother Zac try out for the WWE training program. Only Paige earns a spot in the program, which proves to be the beginning of her career. Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth, Outlaw King) stars as Paige. Dwayne Johnson, who has produced the movie, also plays a supporting role as himself. This is certainly a film to look forward to on February 14th.
