Patti LaBelle at the Isleta Resort and Casino
Patti LaBelle was the lead singer of the 60s vocal group, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells, the first African- American vocal group to feature on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. She has recorded iconic disco songs like Lady Marmalade as well as soulful songs like You are my Friend. Spanning over 40 years, her career has covered several musical genres. You can get into the groove with this disco queen at Isleta Resort and Casino in Albuquerque on January 19th. The event begins at 8 pm.
Mozart Times Three at Popejoy Hall
Three works written by the best classical composer of all times will be performed on January 19th at Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque. The concert starts at 6 pm with Mozart’s Overture to The Abduction from the Seraglio, followed by his Piano Concerto No.20 in d minor and finally his Symphony No. 40.
The Who Show at the Legends Theater, Route 66 Casino
The Who Show is a tribute band to the popular 70s rock band, The Who. They’ve received several awards, including the award for “Best Tribute Band” by the L.A Music Awards in 2008. They’re known to dress and sound almost exactly like The Who, giving the audience a surreal experience of the 70s. The group convincingly portrays the original band, including their individual stage behaviors. Catch this show on January 19th at 8 pm, at the Legends Theatre at the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque.
New Mexico Jazz Latino Orchestra at the National Hispanic Cultural Center
The NM Jazz Latino Orchestra will perform a two-set show on January 19th at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque. The first set starts at 8 pm and features Latin Jazz. The second combines folk rhythms and jazz music. Internationally acclaimed musician Frankie Vazquez will also perform with the orchestra.
