Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Style
Enjoying a special dinner with your favorite someone, is always the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. And, as usual, some of the spots in the Las Cruces area never cease to amaze! I have compiled a short list of local eateries, that are offering special menus or events for the lovers’ night. New Mexico certainly knows how to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style!
Spotted Dog Brewery
Spotted Dog has provided a ‘pre-valentine’ special menu that will be available 2/10 – 2/12. They have also released two new brews for this special occasion: A Red Ale and a Chocolate Vanilla Porter. The Red Ale is called the ‘Heartache’, in an American red style ale, “with medium body and nice citrus hop presence”. The Chocolate Vanilla Porter is more of a traditional porter base and has an “obvious flavor of vanilla and chocolate”.
Heart Attack Burger – Three Angus beef patties, layered with green chile, cheese, hash browns, bacon, and a fried egg. Serves two
Heart Throb – Lobster ravioli in a Creole cream sauce and grilled asparagus garnished with a petite lobster tail. Serve two
Salud! de Mesilla
Salud will be offering an incredible Valentine’s dinner package, which includes a special three course meal. You can select 2 salads, 2 entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine. This dinner will be offered on Valentine’s evening at 4pm.
Double Eagle
The Double Eagle is offering a very large, multi-course meal, complete with desserts and wine pairings. This event is scheduled for Saturday 2/11/17. The meal courses have been lovingly named : Prelude to a Kiss (aperitifs) , Love me tender , Love me true, All my Dreams fulfilled. This decadent menu includes, Lobster tail, filet mignon, crab ravioli, and of course, chocolate covered strawberry.
Lorenzo’s Italian Restaurant
Lorenzo’s Italian Restaurant will be offering a dinner for 2 special. They are offering some of their most popular dishes, such as grilled chicken fettuccini alfredo, lasagna, spinach artichoke ravioli and more. This couples meal includes: 2 salads (or soup), two entrees, Sicilian flat bread, 2 beverages (including a glass of wine or beer) and 2 mini cheesecake slices for dessert.
