Liquid Light Glass in Santa Fe
An internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist of the contemporary glass movement, Elodie Holmes established Liquid Light Glass in 1986. Her art is unique and hand sculpted glass, sculpted, blown, cut, polished, etched, and flame worked. She creates breathtakingly beautiful sculptures, vases, ornaments, bowls, platters, and more. These are then displayed in art galleries and museums around the world. Holmes received the New Mexico Governor’s Award of Excellence in the Arts as recognition for her artistic achievements.
Take a Liquid Light Glass Class
Visitors are not only welcome to observe the artists at work, but you can also take classes at Liquid Light Glass. You don’t need to have any prior experience, and there are even classes for kids. These classes are the highlight of the Liquid Light Glass experience for most visitors. The studio offers different types of classes, including the following:
- Paperweight Class – Students make custom paperweights.
- Cup Class – Students make functional drinking glasses.
- Experience Class – A one-on-one glass tutorial where students learn to create paperweights, flowers, and blown glass cups
These classes are exciting family activities. The Glass Paperweight Class and Glass Cup Class are for ages 10 and up (with parental assistance for children below 13), and the Glass Experience Class can be attended by ages 12 and up.
