- Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
The Rio Grand Gorge Bridge boasts some of the best views in the entire United States, let alone New Mexico. Widely know as the Taos Gorge Bridge, it’s the fifth highest bridge in the United States and spans 200 yards. The area surrounding the Taos Gorge Bridge, Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument absolutely breathtaking no matter what season you visit. In the summer, the relatively flat area surrounding it starts to turn green and offers views that go on for miles. In the winter, the gorge itself and the mountains in the distance are generally covered in snow, offering a vista which quite frankly can’t be described in words. If you’re visiting Taos, seeing the Taos gorge bridge is an absolute must. For more information, click here.

The Burger Stand at Taos Ale House
Taos has great food and high quality beer. We know it, you know it, everyone knows it. A true test for any New Mexico restaurant is the quality of their Green Chile Cheese Burgers and The Burger Stand and is easily a top five pick in all of New Mexico. Even the buns are amazing. There’s also nothing quite like a New Mexico-made IPA to wash down an amazing burger.
The Burger Stand at Taos Ale House also has a great atmosphere. Live music is regularly offered and a variety of music is played. One day you might get smooth jazz and another you may get indie rock. From blues to folk, every band is great.

Taos is a Mecca for skiers and snowboarders everywhere. Angel Fire, Taos Ski Valley, Red River, and Sipapu are all regarded as some of the best areas for skiing in New Mexico and all are a day trip away from Taos. Taos is located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the most southern range of the Rockies, and you can travel in just about any direction and find an amazing trail.
