14 Quick Date Ideas for Valentine’s Day
Here are some fun date ideas for you and your loved one to consider for Valentine’s Day!
1. Teach each other a new skill.

Maybe he makes a mean creme brulee and you play the didgeridoo like a boss! Swapping a skill is a great way to spend time with each other!
2. Be a tourist in your city.

People assume they already know everything about their own city, but there’s always more to learn! Go downtown! Explore the nightlife!
3. Co-write a song.

Get creative! Nothing says “I love you” like writing a wacky, romantic song together! You don’t have to be Beyonce, either, to have fun with this!
4. Take a trial fitness class.

What better way to ring in the new year by hitting up the gym together! Some gyms and studios in New Mexico offer free trial memberships, so Google it up!
5. Play Pokemon Go.

Believe it or not, augmented reality games are the new thing! Yes, the fad has faded, but this game is a great way to bond, will get you up and moving around outside, and adds a twist to a leisurely stroll.
6. Leave positive notes for strangers.

Spread a little love with your Valentine by leaving others notes around town together!
7. Brew your own beer.

You could go to one of New Mexico’s good ol’ breweries, but maybe you want a challenge. Home-brewing beer is a fun activity! Plan for Valentine’s Day by ordering one of these kits!
8. Go to an open mic night.

There are so many talented New Mexican artists that pile on these stages– slam poets, musicians, comedians… It’s a fresh way to kick back and enjoy the night with your other half over a drink or two!

10. Go stargazing.

New Mexico has a gorgeous sea of stars around this time of year! Be sure to pack a warm blanket and look for shooting stars!
11. Go geocaching.

We’ve mentioned this before, but this is a blast to do together during the day! Be sure to pack snacks and/or lunch!
12. Recreate your very first date.

This is guaranteed to impress your significant other. It requires a good memory and a bit of work to make it just right, but it is well worth it. Walk down the same streets where you first kissed and have a couple of drinks in that old coffee shop where you had your first drinks together. Don’t be afraid to spend a bit extra and add a little romantic gift into the mix.
13. Book a day at your local spa.

Treat your body, mind and senses to a relaxing day at the spa. Both of you will feel fresh, comfortable and relaxed—a perfect date for couples who don’t get to spend as much time with each other as they’d like.
14. Play some paintball.

Bonding and playing war games are an excellent way to get your body moving, focus on some of that hand-eye-coordination, and engage your brain in coming up with tactical solutions in the heat of the moment. It is also a great bonding experience, adrenaline-fueled fun, and role-playing all wrapped into one!
